How we run a Northside siding project

Tyler and Alexander run every project personally. There is no foreman or project manager between you and the people doing the work on your house. Most builders promise quality and then send a crew you have never met. They disappear after the contract is signed. What follows is how a Northside siding job goes from a walk around your house to a completed re-side that protects your home for decades.

Phase 1

Consultation

We come to your property and walk the house with you. We look at the current siding, the trim, and the spots that need attention. We listen to what you want and ask the questions other builders skip. No sales pitch.

Phase 2

Design & Plan

Before we order materials, you have seen exactly what we are about to do. We walk you through siding options like LP SmartSide, HardiePlank, and engineered wood, and explain how each holds up over time. We sit down with you on color and trim selections. Nothing moves forward until you sign off on the plan.

Phase 3

Permits & Approvals

Most siding projects need a city permit and HOA sign-off on the color and material. We pull every permit. We coordinate with your HOA on design and material approvals. You do not have to make a call.

Phase 4

The Build

Tyler or Alexander runs the job personally, on site for the work that matters and available whenever you need them. We start with a full tear-off when the project calls for it. The moisture barrier goes on next, then the new siding, course by course. The parts you never see are the parts that keep water out for decades.

Phase 5

Final Walkthrough

We walk the whole house with you, every wall, every trim line, every connection. The project is not done until you are completely satisfied. After we close out the permit, the house is yours, and we are still a phone call away.

Common questions about new siding

Who actually does my siding?

Tyler and Alexander. They started the company together and they still run it together. They run every project personally. You will know the people doing the work on your house because you will be talking to them.

What siding materials do you work with?

LP SmartSide, HardiePlank fiber cement, and engineered wood systems. For each one, we walk you through what it looks like in your light, how it holds up against weather, and how it ages over time. The material decision happens during the design phase, not in the middle of the job. You know what is going on your house before we order anything.

What is the difference between HardiePlank and LP SmartSide?

HardiePlank is fiber cement. It is heavier, more rigid, and very fire-resistant. It does not move or expand much with temperature, but it can crack if it takes a hard hit. LP SmartSide is engineered wood treated for moisture and pest resistance. It is lighter, easier to work with, and tends to be a little more affordable. Both will protect a house for decades when they are installed right. The choice usually comes down to look, budget, and what your HOA allows. We walk through both during the design phase.

Do you handle permits and HOA approvals?

Yes. Most siding projects need a city permit and HOA sign-off on the color and material. We pull every permit. We sit through the inspections. We coordinate with your HOA on design and material approvals. By the time we start the tear-off, everything is signed off.

How long does a siding job take?

Most siding projects take somewhere between two weeks and a couple of months, depending on the size of the house, the material, and whether we are doing a full tear-off. We do not commit to a timeline until the scope is locked. Once you sign, you have a specific window.

How much does new siding cost?

It depends on the size of the house, the material, and what kind of trim work is involved. A full re-side in LP SmartSide is one number. A full re-side in HardiePlank with stone accents and new trim is a different number entirely. We do not throw out ballpark figures over the phone, because we do not know your project yet. After the consultation, once we have measured the house and you have picked your material, we give you a real number tied to your actual scope of work.

What areas do you serve?

We are based in Buford, Georgia and serve the Greater Atlanta area. That includes Sugar Hill, Suwanee, Lawrenceville, Duluth, Roswell, Cumming, Gainesville, Snellville, Norcross, Flowery Branch, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Peachtree Corners, and others. If you are not sure whether your address is in our service area, call us and we will tell you.

How is a Northside siding job different from one a typical builder does?

Most builders promise quality and then send a crew you have never met. They disappear after the contract is signed and show up to collect the check. With us, Tyler or Alexander runs your project personally, from the first call to the final walkthrough. They check the moisture barrier before the siding goes on. They check the trim before the paint goes on. The parts you never see are the parts that decide how long your siding actually lasts, and those are the parts we are most careful with.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Northside Construction Co. LLC is licensed and fully insured. You can ask for proof of both before you sign anything, and we will send it over.

My wife and I can't recommend the company enough. Through the whole process their team was transparent about everything and completed our build on time and on budget.
